Diana Vreeland ordered Ann to do her first Vogue photograph shoot with Richard Avedon within one week. Ann was soon one of the top models across the United States, appearing on covers for the biggest fashion magazines. These included Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann began her international career with Europe and Japan as a model in the fashion magazine Max Factor Revlon.
